Phillips Business Solutions (Environmental Management System Implementation)
Phillips Business Solutions is an independent office products and business services company, which supplies to a range of clients country-wide. One such client became keen that its supply chain could demonstrate robust environmental credentials and incorporated the need for an environmental management system (EMS) certified to the ISO 14001 Standard into its supplier approval process.
Although Phillips Business Solutions had already started a programme of environmental improvements on site with the help of Newground, it did not have a certified EMS in place. Specialist assistance was sought to understand the requirements of ISO 14001, implement an EMS to those requirements and ultimately obtain certification to the Standard in order to retain contracts and existing clients, as well as increase the potential of securing new work and clients.
Approach and solution
