Riverside Park in Ingleton

Craven District Council appointed the Newground design team on behalf of the Ingleton Village Team to prepare designs for the development of Riverside Park.  Our brief was to suggest various proposals to subtly transform the park into a really attractive, welcoming and wildlife-rich environment for people from the local area and wider region to visit and enjoy. These proposals were presented and discussed at several community consultation events.  Various revisions made to them as other local proposals were integrated into the designs, particularly layout options for a splash pool adjacent to the outdoor swimming pool. Other suggestions involved exciting new adventurous play opportunities, woodland and river bank exploration, welcoming entrances and colourful signage. All of the phased proposals were costed and fully illustrated with referenced management implications.

All the investigations, statutory consultee feedback and proposals were included in a report for use by those organisations involved in the management and operation of Riverside Park.
