“Forest School is an inspirational process that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.” Definition from the Forest School Association
Our Level 3 qualified Forest School Leaders are able to provide a series of Forest School sessions either in your school grounds or local green space. The minimum recommended number of sessions is one per week over 6 weeks. All Forest School sessions are linked to the national curriculum and they are suitable for ages 3+. We think Forest School is a perfect way to engage children with the natural world and develop a lifelong passion for wildlife and the environment.
It’s important for children to be able to develop their imagination and ability to explore at their own pace. Forest School is a perfect way to do this, all sessions are developed and delivered with the learner as the focus point by working on their personal skills. Small manageable tasks are used to help children learn to assess risk and gain confidence through their achievement.
With Forest School children will develop and improve:
- Communication skills
- Motor Skills
- Ability to Concentrate
- “Love for the Natural World”
We are able to deliver taster sessions for staff to give a comprehensive explanation of Forest School and provide clarity on this growing movement in schools.
