I joined Newground as a LUS Resource Officer having previously worked in the world of renewable energy and sustainability. I now work in the consultancy team where I assist in the provision of environment, health and safety or quality related services to businesses. My qualifications include being an Associate Member of IEMA and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. Having graduated from Lancaster University with a Masters Degree in Energy and the Environment, as well as having a BSc in Geography, my aim is to help businesses and individuals make a difference.
What I do at Newground
The consultancy team provide advice, training and support in environmental improvement and health and safety to a wide range of organisations across the UK. The support we offer ranges from implementation of management systems to legal compliance audits.
As a team, we also specialise in business resilience and resource efficiency, as well as working closely with the Environment Agency and Local Authorities on projects such as flood risk management. I currently help and support members of the consultancy team in all areas of business support.
In my spare time
Most of my spare time is spent training and competing with my horse, Ferdi, and we enjoy showing, show jumping, dressage and the odd sprint across the cross country course. My passion for the countryside is also shown in my role as the Display Co-ordinator for the Great Harwood Agricultural Show, for which I organise the main ring events.
