As an experienced consultant in environment, health and safety I provide support and advice to UK business across a wide range of public and private sectors.
Having graduated from Southampton University I took my first job at Liverpool University’s commercial environmental consultancy (CMACS) specialising in marine and coastal studies.
From there I moved to Newground as an information resource officer providing environment, health and safety support to organisations, and set up the Legislation Update Service, the company’s leading national subscription product.
In the 15 years I have been helping businesses, I have gained associate membership of IEMA (AIEMA), and am an IEMA-registered Environmental Auditor. I have career specialisms in compliance auditing, management system implementation and training on health, safety and environmental matters.
What I do at Newground
In my current role as a consultant, I visit businesses across the UK to provide advice, training and support in health, safety and environmental improvement, helping them meet and exceed their business objectives. This can range from third party audits including legislation, environmental permits and packaging obligations, to regular training and guidance on different aspects of the business. It may also include monitoring services to help businesses identify savings.
I develop and deliver training and provide talks to industry and trade associations on legal compliance.
In my spare time
When I’m not at work I enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing and generally enjoying the great outdoors!
