LUS Development Officer
I graduated with a BA in Geography from Leeds University in 2007 and after travelling for a while, working in events and sales, I began working at Newground (formerly Groundwork Pennine Lancashire), providing clients with information on environmental and health & safety issues, in 2009.
What I do at Newground
I’ve been working on the Legislation Update Service since 2011, initially researching and writing summaries of legislation and creating content for the monthly newsletters. After being involved in significant technical developments and redesigns of the system my role has now focussed on the continual development of the product, adding new features and functionality to make LUS as valuable as possible to our clients.
In my spare time
Outside of work I enjoy playing and watching football (Burnley fan), mountain biking, films and books and the great outdoors. I like the occasional endurance challenge (Great North Run, Tough Mudder, hiking/mountain climbing) but much prefer the beer afterwards.
