Marc Dunne

Project Officer

I studied Human Geography at Manchester Metropolitan University and have achieved my Youth Work NVQ’s 2 and 3. I previously worked at Blackburn Rovers Football Club in the Ticket Office, and in sales and recruitment firms. I came to Newground as a volunteer and am now a full time Youth Worker.

What I do at Newground

I'm a Project Officer at the Reachout centre in Darwen but I work in areas all over Lancashire. The sessions I run range from sports session, arts and crafts to recruiting young people for traineeships courses and NVQ’s. I also provide one to one support to vulnerable young people around issues affecting their lives.

In my spare time

I'm interested in football culture as well as following my local team Blackburn Rovers. I enjoy visiting new countries and exploring new cultures. I'm also interested in street art and urban photography and the global dance music scene.
