Senior Youth Officer
Sue has a degree in Information Advice and Guidance in conjunction with counselling qualifications. Sue has worked extensively for over ten years with both young people and adults and draws on her experiences both personal and professional in her work practice. Sue is also an advocate of positive statements and ways of thinking “Be the change you wish to see”.
What I do at Newground
Sue’s main role is working with young people, families and community members, to encourage them to access the facilities at the Reachout base in Darwen. The activities on offer range from adult basic computer courses to drop in session for ages 8+. Sue is dedicated to helping communities to be empowered and raise their aspirations and goals in their everyday lives.
In my spare time
Sue has a varied range of hobbies and interests that she enjoys. Sue is an animal communicator and also a motivational speaker. She can be found attending events such as ‘Mind, Body and Spirit’ and Probe. Sue has a love of singing and tap dancing and regularly takes part in amateur performances in and around Lancashire. Sue’s USP is that she can whistle and hum at the same time, in tune!!
