"Active Spaces project is a great project, it delivers a lot to local people and makes people feel happier and become fitter. It’s the best thing since sliced bread!"
When: September 2014
Where: Active Spaces, Padiham Walk
“I started walking at the Padiham group walk on the Monday and loved the people who took part. It’s great to have a regular walk, as it gave me something to look forward to each week.”
“Initially, I spoke to Jane Ingham about helping out. I didn’t want to commit to being a full walk leader as I can’t guarantee that I’ll be available. Jane said this was fine as any help is most appreciated, so I attended the walk leader training Jane organised and delivered in February 2013. The training was great, I learnt a lot. I now take responsibility for walkers on a weekly basis, I’ve found that I can and I’m happy to take responsibility for groups of walkers."
