"The project we undertook to develop a Community Flood Project to further protect our properties in Bridge Street and Bridge Street Close has been lengthy and complicated. There have been technical issues and many Agencies and Authorities we have had to liaise with. Newground’s experience of flood related issues and in particular your contacts with the Environment Agency have been invaluable. Thanks again for all your help and support. "
Bridge Street Close, Cockermouth
Assistance from Newground: Newground worked with the residents of Bridge Street and Bridge Street Close on behalf of the Environment Agency and Allerdale Borough Council to develop a community flood scheme. Newground provided support to residents applying for grant funding and ensured all residents were signed up to the Environment Agency Flood Warnings Service. Newground will continue to support the development of the community flood group and will provide training days so the community is confident with their flood plan and in deploying their new flood defence equipment.
