"The training session delivered was enlightening for our sustainability team members. To have an external person deliver such a clear and concise explanation of ISO 14001 was extremely beneficial to the development of the environmental management system. It widened the knowledge about ISO 14001 from just one or two key members to a more stable and substantial group. Due to the consultant’s competence in translating the content of the environmental requirements and the tools required for auditing in the morning session, the group felt confident enough to practice the newly gained understanding for the management system and audits in the afternoon. This has now allowed for internal audit of the system to be shared among the sustainability team members, providing more responsibility and purpose to the team which was a weakness prior to the training day.
