Newground Announce Subsidised Forest School Training
As part of the South Pennines Woodland Heritage Project funded by HLF and Newground Together we are pleased to give details of Forest School Level One Practitioner courses being hosted at the Newground garden site “Offshoots”.
Newground have been involved in Forest School since it first came to the North West more than ten years ago and have qualified level 3 practitioners who take groups outside into local woodland all year round.
The level one practitioner course is a 3 day course which will help school teachers, school staff or pre-school teachers take their children outside for inspirational forest learning.
Newground education and training coordinator Dan McDermott said “It’s great to be able to provide training at this subsidised price as part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Programme. It should mean more children are spending quality time outside in a safe and inspiring learning environment which is something we are striving to achieve at Newground.”
The price of the training is usually £250 but as part of the HLF project is available at £95. To apply for a subsidised place please contact Dan McDermott at Daniel.firstname.lastname@example.org
